TOUR HIGHLIGHTS & FREE TIME
With Metro Passes in hand and the confidence to find our way around this beautiful city, we used our free time to explore many different areas and experiences. One of our favorite pastimes was to find the local markets that are located around the city on different days. We would walk through, buy bread, cheese and fruit for a picnic, maybe a few souvenirs and just enjoyed perusing all of the booths. Here are some of our other favorite experiences.
VENTURING OUT TO LA DEFENSE
PLACING A LOCK ON THE BRIDGE OF LOCKS
FINDING THE ROSE LINE & TAKING A BREAK IN LUXEMBORG GARDENS
The Paris Meridian
(AKA the Rose Line for

WANDERING ALONG THE BANKS OF THE SEINE RIVER
Walking along the Seine on what used to be an expressway was so fun! Located on the left bank between Musee d'Orsay and the Pont de l'Alma, this riverside park had restaurants and little shops that looked like they were made out of shipping containers. Sport courts, makeshift benches, play areas and chalkboards all made for a very unique experience. This was a prime place for teenagers looking to "hang out" and for the after work crowd ready for a drink or dinner. A definite highlight!
WONDERING WHAT'S BEHIND THE BEAUTIFUL DOORS
CLIMBING THE ARC DE TRIOMPHE & HONORING THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER
